As a girl who loves her meat, my first stop in Texas, Kansas City, and the Carolinas is always barbecue. Styles of smoke, sauce bases, and types of meat vary heavily by region. Many of these style have made their way to NYC and there has never been a better time to explore this meat drenched cuisine. Smoker laws vary by borough in NY so you'll find many more open smokers in Brooklyn & Queens as opposed to Manhattan. Whichever borough you find yourself in, there are now excellent platters of pork, beef & all the fixins awaiting you.
